This is the amazing view from the top of Diamond Head view. The hike took about 30 minutes to get to the top. Entrance was $1 per person if you walk into the park, but if you drive in, it’s about $5 per car load. This is an absolutely must see when you visit Honolulu. It’s open daily from 6am to 6pm. Make sure you wear comfortable clothes and bring lots of water. Sun block is also recommended especially if you burn easily. Prior to doing the hike, water bottles are for sale for $1.50 along with other beverage and snacks.
After the hike, make sure you stop by at Diamond Head Market and Grill located down the road from the mountain. A variety of snacks, breakfast, and lunch can be purchased there. Here’s one of the dessert items that we purchased. I believe it was called Diamond Head cake. It had peanut butter filling, bananas, chocolate, and whip cream. It was about $4.50.
