Salt Lake City, Utah

I was fortunate enough to visit this place while filming a short film. It was a really unexpected but cool experience. I went during wintertime and it was FREEZING. If you do go during this time, pack properly and be prepared for snow. I was in both Logan & Salt Lake City, Utah. I spent a total of 4 days here so whatever little time I got away from filming, I went out and explored.

Sightseeing/Activities:

  • Crimson Trail Logan Peak - I did this hike while it started to snow. I had never been colder in my entire life. It was so BEAUTIFUL, though. It took us a couple of hours and definitely had to stop a few times for a breather. I don’t remember if it’s cause I was out of shape or the trail was just hard….. I’m going to say it was the second option ;)

  • Temple Square - Located in Salt Lake City, this plaza was full of life. Especially during Christmas time. Everyone was walking around, taking photos of all the Christmas trees and drinking hot cocoa. It was really cute and warmed my little old heart.

  • Red Butte Garden - Botanical Garden with trails and concerts. When I went, it wasn’t full of concerts, though. As I stated, it was very cold and everyone was just walking around and staying warm. The plants and flowers were still gorgeous though and pretty bloomed, which was shocking to me.

  • Salt Lake Temple - An iconic Mormon Temple. It was interesting for me to see this. I don’t know much about the Mormon lifestyle so when I was in Utah, I definitely had my eyes opened to it which was nice.

  • Liberty Park - This cute park also has a lake in it. Very fun place to stroll along and get away from the hectic-ness of the city.
